Editorial & affiliate disclosure
How we make money — and how we don't.
Affiliate links
Many links on Robot Review Desk are affiliate links. If you buy a product through one, we may earn a small commission from the retailer (Amazon, Roborock, Aiper, and similar) at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Affiliate commissions fund our testing budget. They are how we keep the site free for readers without taking sponsored content.
What we don't accept
- Paid placement in "best of" guides.
- Paid favourable reviews.
- "Sponsored" content of any kind disguised as editorial.
- Manufacturer veto over what we publish.
How we pick winners
Every "Best X" pick is based on a combination of hands-on testing where we can do it, owner reports across at least three independent sources, manufacturer spec sheets, and any independent third-party testing we can find. We weight hands-on results most heavily, and we say so when a category is rated without us physically owning a product.
Updates and corrections
Reviews and guides are dated. When a product receives a meaningful firmware update, hardware revision, or price change we revisit the piece and surface the update at the top. If we get something wrong, we correct it in place and note the correction.
